Peppy Poodle

I am not sure why poodles have gained a reputation for being brainless. Nothing could be further from the truth! Poodles are quite intelligent. They have an exceptional learning ability and retain most of what they learn. They are also hypoallergenic and don’t shed. This makes them an excellent breed for people with asthma and allergies.

When looking for a poodle, find a reputable breeder. Puppy mills are everywhere, and beware of these! Puppy mills end up over-breeding and breeding to closely, resulting in unhealthy pups who are hyperactive.

I got my poodle from a pet rescue, and he is sweet, smart and very lovable. It may have been somewhat of a risk because I didn’t know anything about my poodle’s lineage. But I kept him from being euthanized at the dog pound, and he turned out to be an outstanding pet for our family.
