When I stopped working, I thought that retirement was going to be all about taking my time, lounging around, watching reality shows — (shhh! Don’t tell anyone that I watch that stuff!), goofing around on social media, walking the dogs and all that. But, trust and believe, it isn’t!

This morning I woke up thinking about 25 things that I wanted to get done today. Twenty-five things right off the bat. Are you kidding? That is more than I did when I was gainfully employed in the work-a-day world! And here is the clincher! None of those “urgent requests” that I was making of myself were things that had to be done right now.

I have had the most difficult time switching into “slow” mode. Or at least, not-so-fast mode. Ideas, anyone?
